IDIOT LUST:
 Of Maus and Men

MAUS, ferocious beat breaking self nipple twisting ravenous naked animal in the jaws of giant white shark cooked in the milk of his own mother with a side of ear splitting madness.
And doting father to little girl.

you see the picture, he is complex.

Maus / Idiot Lust / half of the Soku Seki men

Is your stage name trademarked?

No. But it has an interesting birthmark around the perineum that resembles
Paris Hilton in profile, practicing fellatio under the filtered green hue of
infrared handy-cam.

Have you filed your breaks for copyright protection?

Im trying to find the Noright office. If I can have the logo as N
enclosed in a circle, and noright2005 or whatever . . . yeah Id like to have
copyright resignation I guess. I steal: I condone stealing. Hell I endorse
it, although it is nice to craft a work completely of your own volition,
preferably with your hands bound in duct tape and no way to scratch your
roids. Frustration is a unique motivator wether plagiarising or not.
Crafting works from bodily secretions is desirable.

Have you affiliated with a performance rights organization? e.g ASCAP,
BMI, SESAC?

I have a local R.S.L. Im not officially a member, you see? But I still
enjoy the cheapest beer prices to be found and eightball for twenty cents a
game. Just remember to take your hat off or you must shout the bar,
arm-wrestle the barmaid and investigate the pubic mound of the local nuffy
(unfortunate and politically incorrect term for a mentally impaired
individual a.k.a. sidewinder).

Do any band members belong to the Musicians Union?

The power of one. no. I am a hermit crab.

Do you have a written band agreement?

Well see its just me. I do a lot of arguing with myself. But thats all in
private, what I like to call, Head Place Stuff.

Have you ever been paid for sex?

I consider someone willing to have sex with me payment enough. . . I mean, you
saw the photo right?

Who is your fan/customer?

I dont think I really have any of those. Id like if you could tell me a
good fast food restaurant that sells some.
One local metal kid wrote:
who was the guy in the black masky looking thing??? i dont like the techno
but i thought hes stuff was awsome!!! ne were i can get some of it on a cd
perhaps?
Ive had some positive feedback about my newer more progressive stuff from,
lets see, hardcore kids, a noisician, a hip-hop dnb producer, a breakcore
lunatic. . . . a theme is emerging my fans are all into oddball music. Go
figure!

What are your songs about?

Most of my new material is without vocal or spoken samples. . . there is a
thematic that loosely relates to victims becoming victors. But this is
hardly apparent from song titles and is a little too ambiguous to be picked
up through the music without sufficient direction i.e. I tell you what its
all about. And I prefer the listener to get what they will from it. . .
translate for themselves.

give the folks a break, a smoko break, a trial relationship break,
summer break - which best decribes yr approach to beat making ?

A break of the sesamoid bone(kneecap).A break in transmission. Breaking
bread? Someone once wanted to punch holes in me because he thought I said
breaking heads when I actually said breaking eggs. You see how the
confusion started?

Do not avoid the image issue! What image do you think your music conveys?

The image of a maudlin lover peering over a fence, considering the spectacle
of a neurotic hag with breasts flat to her chest like dead carp, in a semi
somnambulistic state ranting death threats and removing another layer of
clothing: a rotten banana suppurating vile, evil, miasmic effluvium.

Do you have an entertainment law attorney to consult with?

No.

Are you looking for an independent label deal or a major label deal?

No. . . well, what I mean is yes; either one but not actively seeking anything
much. Looking to refine the product, its getting there.

Has being a father to a young girl made you more receptive to youth
orientated product placement ? do you find you are buying more toys than
ever before ? and do you share any of them with young Hunter?

Ye flaming gods! Try making music with a four year old girl with a will from
the seventh circle of Hell and Hunter S. Thompson for namesake. Its
tightrope tense around here sometimes I tells ya. But oh how we laugh.

Are you aware of the tax deductions available for musicians?

Shhh! I dont want the tax department to know about shit. They giveth and
taketh away.

Do you have insurance on your band equipment and vehicles?

Do you work for A.S.I.O? Im not a very organised kind of guy.

Do you think Schappele Corby should shot, hanged, made to smoke all that
marijuana or tagged and released back into the wild?

This is fucking farcical. No one in their right mind smuggles pot into Bali.
Case closed. It was meant to go to Sydney from Brisbane. This is an
unknowing-mule-fuckup situation. They should shoot those bastards for being
naive enough to try her for such an obvious ballsup!

How crap is this interview ?

Ill let you be the judge of that.

Do you think Pricess Di should have contested the recent marrage of
Charles and Camilla ?

I believe she did. At least there was a moment when I was sure I felt her
spirit moving in me. I looked at myself in the mirror and, sure, I looked
the same, but then I spoke and the voice was hers. I let her hang around,
possessing my body, for a few hours and recorded her whole tirade on the
wedding scenario. She was a hoot but Id have to refer you to the recording
for particulars.

Just because you can record, doesnt mean your music is worth recording.
are you talking to me ?

It depends on wether that was a double edged question or not.
If you mean should everyone record even if they are shit, I would say no,
or yes, because even shit can be good in some cases. Its just dependent on
the ratio of how shit you really are to how shit you think you are, then,
uh lets talk.
On the other hand if you mean am I talking to you because you were
implying that my music is shit and I should become a monk of some
description, then, yes I am talking to you… or should that be the other way
around? Damn your eyes man!

favourite slogan ?

Dead Men Dont Rape
        Or
The Olsen Twins snap freeze Peter Sotos cock and smash it with a hammer.

sokuseki mens SOSUEUS review by
ALEX KELLY

Sokuseki-Men, (which, if Google serves me correctly, means pickled men) hail from Hobart and have just released their first album Sosueus: a mash of samples, rants, choppy tones and beats. I cant tell you too much about the artists, other than that they seem to be a pretty cheeky bunch and that theyve assembled a random and engaging record. Industrial beats chop up a range of cuts, from old film quotes to Michael Jackson, Deee-Lite and Criss Cross samples. Leaaane mixes Cyndi Laupers sweet and innocent Girls Just Wanna Have Fun with some crunchy beats and drunken slurs. Other tunes, such as Eye Talk, are more sombre, with what sounds like samples from some 60s sci-fi flick and more ethereal background tones. Go Aussie! combines a racing guitar track, fast beats, a butchered Baby Elephant Waltz and some disturbed screaming. While many glitchy and sample-based works can be a bit grating to listen to after the initial amusement and curiosity wears off, Sokuseki-Men manage to make Sosueus an interesting, twisted, experimental and happily listen-able record.
